Mileage Rates
Beginning on January 1, 2026, the standard mileage rates for the use of a car (also vans, pickups and panel trucks) will be:
- 72.5 cents per mile for business miles driven (up 3 cents from 2024).
- 20.5 cents per mile driven for medical purposes, (down 1/2 cent from 21 cents for 2025)
- 21 cents per mile driven for moving purposes for qualified active-duty members of the Armed Forces, unchanged from last year.
- 14 cents per mile driven in service of charitable organizations.
Beginning Janaury 1, 2025, the standard mileage rates for the use of a vehicle will be:
- 70 cents per mile driven for business purposes
- 21 cents per mile driven for medical or moving purposes
- 14 cents per mile driven in service of charitable organizations
These rates apply to electric and Hybrid-electric automobiles, as well as gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles.
